Mentholatum - Deep Relief Gel

Mentholatum Deep Relief Gel is a topical medicine supplied in a 50 g tube. Each gram contains ibuprofen 5% and levomenthol 3%. The Albanian medicines register lists the 50 g presentation. Mentholatum recommends the gel for local relief of muscular and joint pain, including strains, sprains, backache and sports injuries.

How to use Deep Relief Gel

For adults, older people and children over 12 years, apply a thin layer of about 1–4 cm to the affected area and massage gently until absorbed. Use up to three times a day, no more often than every four hours. Wash your hands after use unless treating the hands. Seek medical advice if symptoms continue for more than two weeks.

Deep Relief Gel warnings

• Use only on the skin. Do not apply to broken, infected or inflamed skin.
• Do not use if you are allergic to ibuprofen, menthol, aspirin or other painkillers.
• Do not use if you are more than six months pregnant or breastfeeding. Ask a doctor before use if you are pregnant or take aspirin or other painkillers.
• Do not use if NSAIDs are known to trigger asthma attacks for you. Ask a pharmacist if you take other regular medicines.
