Alrinast syrup 2.5 mg/5 ml, 150 ml

Alrinast syrup 2.5 mg/5 ml contains 0.5 mg desloratadine per ml in a 150 ml bottle. The Albanian patient leaflet lists Alrinast syrup for relief of allergic rhinitis symptoms such as sneezing, nasal irritation or discharge and irritated, red or watery eyes, and symptoms of urticaria including itching, swelling and redness.

Age-specific Alrinast syrup doses in the leaflet

• Children 6–11 months: 2 ml once daily.
• Children 1–5 years: 2.5 ml once daily.
• Children 6–11 years: 5 ml once daily.
• Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: 10 ml once daily, measured as 5 ml twice.

Use the measuring spoon supplied with the bottle. Alrinast syrup may be taken with or without food. The doctor determines treatment duration. Follow the leaflet for this exact strength and pack.

Alrinast syrup precautions and storage

Do not use if allergic to desloratadine, loratadine or any ingredient. The leaflet advises caution with kidney impairment and says not to take it during pregnancy or breastfeeding; ask a doctor or pharmacist if this applies. The syrup contains sucrose, sorbitol and yellow FCF colouring; check the leaflet and ask a professional about sugar intolerance or sensitivity to colouring. Drowsiness may occur very rarely. Store below 30°C in the original pack and out of children's reach.
