Otipax ear drops

Otipax is an ear-drop medicine for local symptomatic relief of certain painful middle-ear conditions when the eardrum is intact. Each ml contains phenazone 44.83 mg and lidocaine hydrochloride 11.21 mg. The bottle contains 15 ml.

Directions

Use only as directed in the package leaflet or by a healthcare professional. The leaflet describes 4 drops in the painful ear 2–3 times daily for adults and children; treatment should not exceed 10 days. Gently warm the bottle in your hands before use if the solution feels cold.

Ingredients and precautions

Active ingredients: phenazone and lidocaine hydrochloride. Excipients: sodium thiosulfate, ethanol, glycerol and purified water. Do not use if allergic to an ingredient or if the eardrum is perforated. If symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice.
