PIC - VedoEco Plus Mercury-Free Glass Thermometer

PIC VedoEco Plus Mercury-Free Glass Thermometer

PIC VedoEco Plus Mercury-Free Glass Thermometer is a traditional glass thermometer for measuring body temperature. It contains no mercury: PIC states that mercury is replaced by a special alloy of indium, gallium and tin. The glass format offers a reusable option for checking temperature at home when used according to its instructions.

VedoEco Plus glass thermometer: material and use

The PIC VedoEco Plus Mercury-Free Glass Thermometer uses a visible liquid column inside the glass body. Before taking a measurement, inspect the thermometer for cracks or other damage and read the supplied leaflet. Follow its directions for the recommended measurement site, positioning and reading. Allow enough time for the thermometer to complete a measurement as directed; do not guess based on an incomplete reading.

Taking and reading a temperature

Use the PIC VedoEco Plus Mercury-Free Glass Thermometer only as described by the manufacturer. Keep the device still while measuring and read the scale at eye level in good light. Clean it only as instructed and store it in its protective case when not in use. A thermometer reading is one part of assessing a person’s health; ask a healthcare professional about persistent fever, concerning symptoms or questions about interpreting results.

Care and safety

Handle the glass thermometer carefully and keep it away from impacts, children and pets. Do not use a cracked thermometer. Read the complete instructions for cleaning, storage and safe handling of the indium, gallium and tin alloy. The supplied leaflet and packaging provide the current details for this model.
